Heat oven to 375° f.
In a medium sized bowl add ground beef, ground pork, egg, onions, bread crumbs and seasonings.
With your hands mix all those ingredients together.
Use a spoon or an ice cream scoop to measure your meatballs. Place one in your hands and roll until a ball is formed.
Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil to medium heat in a large skillet.
Once the oil is hot add your meatballs. Rotate them in the skillet so they brown evenly on all sides.
In a 9x13 in glass baking dish. Add half of the jarred spaghetti sauce and one can of tomatoes, mix together.
Place your meatballs into the baking dish.
Cover the meatballs with the rest of your jarred pasta sauce.
Add your sliced provolone cheese and parmesan to the top of the meatballs.
Cover your dish with foil. Try to tint the foil in the middle so that the cheese does not stick.
Bake for 15 minutes until the sauce is bubbling. Remove the foil and broil on high for 5 minutes until the cheese is browned.
Serve over cooked spaghetti, garnish with basil and enjoy!
