Cooking salmon on the cedar plank has by far become my favorite way to prepare it. Making this oven baked cedar plank salmon changes your dinner game. You get that perfect smoke flavor from the cedar plank and everything comes out moist, delicious and seasoned well. Did I also mention it's a 30 minute meal? Well, it is!

I start by soaking your cedar plank in water for 15 minutes each side.
Heat your oven to 400° F.
Once your planks have been soaked, place your salmon onto the plank skin side down.
Pat your salmon dry with a paper towel.
To the salmon add olive oil, brown sugar, salt, pepper and top with garlic.
Use your hand to pat the ingredients into the meat of the salmon.
Place your cedar plank directly on the oven rack and bake your salmon for 20 to 25 minutes.
Once your salmon is finished, remove from the oven, garnish with fresh chopped dill and a squeeze of lemon.
Serve hot and enjoy!
