1: In a small bowl, mix the Cajun spices together and season the shrimp with some of the mixture. 2: Cook the pasta according to package instructions, saving half a cup of pasta water. 3: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with olive oil. 4: Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 90 seconds on each side until done, then remove from skillet. 5: In the same skillet, add the remaining half stick of butter, sliced peppers, and sliced onion. 6: Once softened, add crushed garlic and cook until fragrant. 7: Stir in the remaining butter, heavy cream, remaining spices, and pesto, whisking until combined. 8: Let the sauce simmer until reduced by 1/3, then add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water. 9: Cook in the sauce for about 5 minutes until thickened, then remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. 10: Top pasta with shrimp and additional Parmesan cheese and parsley. 11: Serve family style and enjoy!
