What you need

tbsp italian seasoning

tbsp smoked paprika

cup parmesan cheese

tbsp butter

tsp kosher salt

tbsp garlic powder
cup pasta water

lb shrimp

tsp cayenne pepper

cup heavy whipping cream

white onion

clove garlic

tbsp olive oil

lb pasta

cup pesto

bunch pepper
Instructions
1: In a small bowl, add your seasonings for your cajun spices and mix them together. Add some of them to the tops of your shrimp and mix together. Save the rest for your sauce. 2: Cook your pasta according to package instructions and save half a cup of pasta water at the end. Make sure to salt your pasta water. 3: While your noodles are cooking, add 2 tbsp of butter and olive oil to your skillet over medium heat. 4: Once the butter and olive oil are bubbly, add your shrimp in and cook for 90 seconds on each side. Remove the shrimp from the skillet. 5: In the same skillet, add the remaining half stick of butter along with peppers and onions and cook until softened. Then, add crushed garlic and mix until fragrant. 6: Add the rest of your butter, heavy cream, the remaining spices, and pesto. Whisk thoroughly as the butter melts. 7: Once the sauce starts to reduce by 1/3 and is simmering, add in your pasta. 8: Let your noodles cook in the sauce for about 5 minutes and add your reserve pasta water. Use your spoon to test the thickness of your sauce. 9: Once your sauce is thick, turn off the heat and add in your parmesan cheese, gently blending with the noodles. 10: Top the noodles with shrimp, more parmesan cheese, and parsley. Serve it family style and enjoy!View original recipe
