What you need

cup butter

cup flour

tbsp worcestershire sauce

lb elbow macaroni

tbsp ground mustard

tsp kosher salt

tsp nutmeg

tsp pepper

cup sharp cheddar

cup half & half

cup mild cheddar
cup pasta water
Instructions
1: Heat oven to 375°F. 2: Measure out all ingredients next to your stove. 3: In a stock pot, add 4 quarts of water and 3 tablespoons of salt. Cook elbow macaroni until al dente. 4: In a small saucepan on medium heat, melt butter. 5: Add flour to the melted butter and whisk for about 2 minutes to cook it out. 6: Add spices and Worcestershire sauce to the roux. 7: Slowly add milk or half & half and pasta water to the roux while whisking until it thickens. 8: Once bubbles appear, turn off the heat and stir in 2 cups of cheese until melted. 9: In a glass baking dish, layer half of the cooked macaroni, then half of the cheese mixture, coating all the macaroni. 10: Repeat steps until the entire dish is full, smoothing out the top and adding leftover cheese. 11: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes until bubbling.
