What you need

tsp kosher salt

tbsp smoked paprika

tbsp italian seasoning

tbsp onion powder

tbsp black pepper

tbsp garlic powder

tsp cayenne pepper

tbsp butter

cup parmesan cheese

tbsp olive oil
chicken breast

lb linguine
fl oz pasta water
Instructions
1: Begin by splitting your chicken breast in half and pounding them as thin as possible. 2: In a small bowl, add your seasonings for your blackening spices. 3: Mix them together and then add some of them to the tops of your chicken breast and press them into the chicken. 4: Cook your linguine noodles according to package instructions and save half a cup of pasta water at the end. 5: Make sure to salt your pasta water. 6: While your noodles are cooking, add 2 tbsp of butter to your skillet along with your olive oil. 7: Set your skillet to medium heat. 8: Once your butter and olive oil are bubbly, add your chicken in. 9: Cook your chicken until it is golden brown on each side and it is cooked to 165°F. 10: Once your chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet. 11: In the same skillet set to medium heat, add in your stick of butter and heavy cream. 12: As your butter starts to melt, whisk thoroughly to blend it with the cream. 13: Add the rest of the blackening spices to your cream sauce and whisk together. 14: Once your sauce starts to reduce by 1/3 and is simmering, add in your linguine noodles. 15: Let your noodles cook in the sauce for about 5 minutes and add your reserve pasta water. 16: Use your spoon to test the thickness of your sauce. 17: Once your sauce is thick, turn off the heat and add in your parmesan cheese. 18: Gently blend your parmesan cheese with the noodles. 19: Top the noodles with your chicken, more parmesan cheese, and parsley. 20: Serve it family style and enjoy!View original recipe
