What you need

tsp kosher salt

tsp nutmeg

tsp black pepper

onion

tbsp butter

lb bacon

cup half & half

tsp ground mustard

cup cheddar cheese

oz cream cheese
tsp dried italian seasoning

Instructions
1: Preheat your oven to 400° F. 2: Heat your skillet to medium high heat and cook your bacon. Remove from the pan and keep the grease. 3: Add diced onions to the same pan and sauté until translucent, then set aside. 4: In a bowl, combine cream, half and half, cream cheese, half of the bacon, and all of the onions. 5: Add all of your seasonings and half of the cheese, then mix everything together using a whisk. 6: Spread melted butter on the edges and bottom of a cast iron skillet. 7: Add half of the hash browns to the bottom of the skillet, followed by half of the mixture. Repeat this process, finishing with the mixture on top. 8: Sprinkle the remaining cheese and bacon on top. 9: Cover with foil and bake for 40 to 45 minutes until bubbly. 10: For the last 5 minutes, set your oven to low broil to finish off the top. 11: Let your casserole cool for about 5 minutes before serving.View original recipe
