Instructions
1: Clean the chicken and season it front and back with half of the seasonings. 2: In a skillet set to medium high heat, add vegetable oil. 3: Once the oil is hot, place the chicken in skin side down and brown it on both sides. 4: Remove chicken from the skillet. 5: In the same skillet on medium heat, add butter, sliced peppers, and onions, and cook until softened. 6: Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 7: Stir in flour and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring continuously. 8: Add the remaining seasonings and spices to the skillet. 9: Pour in warm water and whisk until clumps are removed. 10: Add vegetable base and chicken base and whisk again. 11: Let the gravy cook down to your desired thickness. 12: Pour gravy over the chicken in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake in a 350°F oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165°F. 13: Remove from oven, let cool for a minute, then serve with rice and vegetables.View original recipe
