Cornbread Dressing

A delicious and flavorful cornbread dressing that combines cornbread, crumbled white bread, sautéed vegetables, and a savory blend of seasonings, perfect for any meal. Optionally, add turkey or chicken for a heartier version.

What you need

oz condensed cream of chicken soup

carrot
tsp sage

celery stalk

tsp celery salt

cup cornbread

tsp onion powder

white onion

tsp garlic powder

cup white bread

tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
1. Add unsalted butter to a skillet set to medium heat. Once bubbly, add carrots, celery, and onions. 2. Let vegetables sweat while continuing to stir for about 3 to 4 minutes. Add seasonings and adjust as needed. 3. Add cornbread and white bread to a 9x9 baking dish. 4. Place sautéed vegetables on top of the bread mixture. 5. In a separate bowl, mix cream of chicken with chicken broth and add this mixture to the baking dish. 6. Optionally, add meat if desired, then mix everything together and smooth out. 7. Cook in a preheated oven at 375°F until golden brown and center is firm, about 25-30 minutes. 8. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving. 9. Top with homemade gravy and enjoy.
